This page explains how Lume AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) works, what data we handle, and the key terms for using the service.
Lume AI helps you discover products on Amazon using natural-language searches. We show ranked product suggestions, but we do not sell products ourselves and we do not control Amazon’s website, prices or inventory.
Product links take you to Amazon. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and Amazon (or the third-party seller on Amazon), not with Lume AI.
We aim to collect only the minimum information needed to run the service, understand usage and improve quality.
When you use the search box, we process your query to understand what you are looking for and to call our product data providers. We may log anonymised or aggregated information about searches (for example, how many searches happen per day and basic performance metrics) to monitor reliability and improve results.
Your browser may call a third-party geolocation service (such as
ipapi.co) to map your IP address to a country so we can
pre-select the most relevant Amazon marketplace (for example,
amazon.co.uk vs amazon.com). Your IP address is therefore shared with
that provider under their own privacy terms.
Our backend also sees your IP address when you connect. We use it for basic security (for example, abuse and rate limiting) and for high-level usage analytics. We do not use IP addresses to try to identify you personally.
If you choose to send feedback through the feedback form, we collect:
On the server side we log that feedback event, including your IP address and whether an email address was supplied, into our application logs. The full payload (message, optional email, visit count) may be included in debug-level logs for troubleshooting and is also stored in a small database so we can review feedback and improve the product.
Please do not include any sensitive personal information in feedback (for example, financial details, health information or passwords).
When you click a “View on Amazon” button, we may record a lightweight analytics event containing the product identifier (ASIN), the selected marketplace and your IP address. This helps us understand which recommendations are actually useful and which marketplaces are being used.
Your browser may store a small amount of data locally, such as your recent searches, marketplace preference and whether you have seen or dismissed the feedback prompt. This stays on your device and is used only to improve your experience.
Lume AI participates in the Amazon Associates program. Some of the links we show are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you purchase after clicking them. Affiliate tracking is implemented by appending our Amazon Associate partner tags to product URLs, either via our search providers or via Amazon’s Product Advertising API (PAAPI).
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This does not change the price you pay on Amazon.
Product details, prices, shipping costs and availability shown in Lume AI are based on information returned by Amazon at the time of the search. These can change at any time and may differ by region, device or logged-in status.

We strive to provide helpful, accurate results but we cannot guarantee that recommendations are complete, error-free or suitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for verifying that a product meets your needs before buying.
Server logs and analytics records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the service. In practice, this typically means retaining logs for no longer than 12 months, unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse or meet legal obligations.
Feedback stored in our database may be kept longer so we can track product changes over time. You can request that specific feedback entries linked to your email address be deleted by contacting us.
You can use Lume AI without providing an email address. If you do share your email in feedback, we will use it only to understand your comments or follow up with you about your feedback. We do not sell your personal data.
